NIBA Congratulates Albanese Government on Re-Election

NIBA congratulates the Albanese Labor Government on its re-election and looks forward to continuing to work constructively with the Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers and Members of Parliament from across the political spectrum in the new term of government.

NIBA also extends its congratulations to all re-elected and newly elected Members of Parliament, from both major parties and the crossbench, and thanks those leaving politics for their service to the Australian community. 

As the voice of the insurance broking profession, NIBA remains committed to working collaboratively with government to support a strong, fair, and sustainable general insurance market.

In the term ahead, NIBA will continue to advocate for greater investment in disaster mitigation and climate resilience, to help protect communities and support long-term insurability across the country. We will also continue to call for coordinated action to address the impact of insurance-based taxes and levies, which undermine the affordability and accessibility of essential insurance cover.

NIBA looks forward to continuing its engagement with all sides of government and to building on the constructive relationships already established with ministers, shadow ministers and senior officials across the country.
