About the Award

The Community Excellence Member of the Year Award recognises a NIBA Member who has made an outstanding contribution to their community through initiatives that extend beyond the responsibilities of their day-to-day role.

Whether supporting disaster recovery through community-led initiatives, improving insurance literacy, mentoring future professionals, partnering with local charities, or leading programs that strengthen their communities, this award recognises Members who go above and beyond to create meaningful and lasting impact.

Supported by Liberty, the award celebrates Members who use their expertise, leadership and commitment to make a positive difference beyond their regular professional responsibilities.

The Award is a national award.

To be eligible, nominees must meet the following:
  • Be a member of NIBA
  • Be available for all the key dates outlined
Previous entrants and winners:
  • Past entrants to the award can re-enter.
  • Previous winners will not be eligible for the award.

Applicants must demonstrate how, over the past 12 months, they have made a meaningful and sustained contribution to their community through initiatives that extend beyond the responsibilities of their day-to-day role and positively reflect the values of the insurance broking profession.
