Target Audience

This event is designed for insurance professionals at all career stages who are passionate about leadership, professional growth and the future of the industry. Whether you're an emerging professional looking to build confidence, an established leader seeking fresh perspectives, or someone who is committed to supporting and developing future talent, this luncheon offers valuable insights and meaningful connections for everyone.

Overview

Following the overwhelming success of its inaugural event in 2025, the NIBA Tasmania Women in Insurance Luncheon returns for another inspiring afternoon of leadership, learning and connection in collaboration with Women in Insurance Tasmania.

Building on last year's momentum, this year's theme, Journeys that Inspire: The Power of Influence, explores the experiences, opportunities and leadership journeys that shape today's industry leaders and inspire others to make their own impact.

The afternoon begins with a Women in Insurance Tasmania President Update, followed by a high-level NIBA industry update. You'll then hear leadership insights from Kirsten Mills, Head of Affinity at Marsh Pacific, and Angela O'Neill, General Manager at repX, as they share their experiences of leading teams, developing people and growing their careers.

The event culminates with a keynote address from Jenny Bax, CEO of the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC), who will reflect on her journey to CEO and the lessons, challenges and defining moments that have shaped her leadership career.

All speakers will then return to the stage for a moderated panel discussion and audience Q&A, offering diverse perspectives on leadership, influence and career development.

Enjoy a two-course lunch, refreshments and valuable networking with insurance professionals from across Tasmania as we continue to celebrate and develop the leaders shaping the future of our profession.
