2026 NIBA Young Broker of the Year Award Attracts Record Nominations

Media Release

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is delighted to announce a record number of nominations for the Vero-partnered 2026 NIBA Young Broker of the Year award, with 96 nominations received from across Australia.

As part of NIBAʼs awards program, which celebrates brokers raising standards of professionalism across the sector, this result marks a significant milestone, underscoring the strength of emerging talent coming through the ranks. The Young Broker of the Year award recognises outstanding brokers under 35 who are ensuring the profession is future ready through a commitment to excellence.

NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said the record nomination number reflects the strength of the award and the high regard in which it is held across the profession.

“Receiving 96 nominations this year is a fantastic result and a strong reflection of the elevated standing of this award across the profession. It shows how deeply our profession values the contribution of young brokers,” Richard said.

Anthony Pagano, Head of Distribution, Vero said the record participation highlights both the depth of emerging talent and the enduring value of the award for brokers under 35.

“For 37 years, Vero has been proud to partner with NIBA to champion emerging talent, and this yearʼs record nominations show the strong regard this award continues to command across the profession. It is exciting to see so many outstanding brokers under 35 recognised by their peers and workplaces as future leaders,” Anthony said.

Attendees at the 2026 NIBA Gala Lunches in July will have the opportunity to engage with their respective state finalists, with the state winners to be revealed at each event.

Those winners will go on to compete for the National Young Broker of the Year, who will be announced at the 2026 NIBA Convention in October.
