Assistant Treasurer Stephen Jones to Share Economic Outlook in Exclusive Keynote at NIBA Convention

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is delighted to welcome the Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, the Hon. Stephen Jones MP, as a speaker at the 2024 NIBA Convention.
As part of a keynote address, Minister Jones will share his insights about what the upcoming twelve months will look like for the Australian economy and businesses.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin welcomed the Minister, adding: "We are honoured to have Minister Jones join us at this year's NIBA Convention. His presence underscores the importance of collaboration between government and industry to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead for the sector and our insurance broking profession."
Minister Jones was first elected to the Federal Parliament in 2010, representing the Southern Illawarra seat of Throsby. He was re-elected at the 2013 election and elected to the re-named seat of Whitlam in the 2016 election.
Prior to entering the Federal Parliament, he worked as a community worker for various front-line disability services, youth and health services, as a lawyer with the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) and as the Secretary of the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU).
The NIBA Convention is the flagship event for the insurance broking profession. This unique gathering brings together the entire broking community and the wider insurance industry.
