Building Bridges: NIBA Connects Communities as the 2025 Gala Lunch Series Begins This Week

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is thrilled to announce that it will be hitting the road this July, as the much-anticipated 2025 NIBA Gala Lunch Series kicks off across Australia.
With more than 2,500 insurance professionals expected to attend, the NIBA Gala Lunches are a powerful demonstration of the NIBA community coming together to learn, celebrate, and shape change in the profession.
They are a vital opportunity to foster collaboration and connection. In todayʼs dynamic insurance landscape, brokers are operating in an increasingly diverse set of environments, from urban centres to rural communities.
“NIBA plays a key role in building bridges across geographical boundaries by creating inclusive platforms where brokers can connect, share insights, and support each other,” said NIBA President Nick Cook.
“The NIBA Gala Lunches are a chance for our community to come together after the end of the financial year to reflect, recharge and look ahead,” Nick added.
For the first time, NIBA is proud to introduce a charitable initiative as part of the Gala Lunch Series, partnering with local charities in each state to make a meaningful impact beyond the profession.
“This is a unique opportunity to give back to the communities that support us,” NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said.
“Aligning the NIBA Gala Lunches with a local charity extends broking values of care and service to the broader community,” Richard added.
The NIBA Gala Lunches also recognise the best of the profession from the past twelve months. Insurance brokers play a vital role as trusted partners, supporting Australian families, businesses and communities to navigate risk and build resilience. Through its awards program, NIBA is proud to celebrate those who lead the way in raising the bar for professionalism and client care.
The state winners of the Vero-partnered Young Broker of the Year and the CGU-partnered Broker of the Year awards will be revealed throughout July at respective NIBA Gala Lunches held across the country. These finalists will go on to compete for the coveted national titles, which will be announced at the 2025 NIBA Convention this October on the Gold Coast.
The 2025 NIBA Gala Lunch Series begins Wednesday, 9 July at The Fullerton Hotel, Sydney. The Series continues in WA on Friday, 11 July at The Crown, Perth; Vic on Friday, 18 July at The Sofitel in Melbourne; Qld on Wednesday, 23 July at The Star, Brisbane; and SA on Friday, 25 July at The Adelaide Oval.
