Exciting New Additions Unveiled for the 2025 NIBA Convention
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is delighted to announce several exciting additions that will elevate the delegate experience at the upcoming 2025 NIBA Convention. This yearʼs
Convention promises not only a cutting-edge program full of insights, but also a host of fresh new
features designed to foster connection, and inspire new ways of thinking.
“Every year we strive to raise the bar, and 2025 is no exception,” said 2025 NIBA Convention Chair,
Lynette Walsh.
“Weʼve worked hard to deliver a program that honours the DNA of the Convention while adding new
dimensions that will energise, inspire, and delight delegates,” Lynette added.
The Fringe Stage
Making its debut this year is the ‘Fringe Stageʼ, a dynamic platform located in the bustling Convention Marketplace. Featuring short, sharp 15-minute pop-up style presentations, the ‘Fringe Stageʼ is
designed for high-energy interaction and accessibility. Expect bold ideas, practical insights, and futurefocused innovations, all delivered in bite-sized sessions throughout the day.
Morning Masterclasses
Another exciting addition is the introduction of morning masterclasses, an early start that sets the tone
for a day of cutting-edge insights and robust discussion. Each session brings together industry leaders
and subject matter experts to tackle urgent issues facing brokers and the wider insurance ecosystem.
Topics include:
- Insurtech – Emerging Technologies Every Broker Should Know (in partnership with Insurtech
- Australia)
- Shaping the Agenda – Key Issues in Policy and Regulation
- The UAC Session – Underwriting Agencies on the Rise (in partnership with UAC)
- Shaping Change in a Warming Climate (in partnership with Zurich)
These masterclasses promise rapid-fire introductions, deep dives, and sector-wide perspectives on
the forces shaping the professionʼs future.
For the first time, the NIBA Convention expands to three full days of learning, networking, and social
connection. The action begins on Sunday afternoon with a choice of three engaging social activities:
- NIBA Golf Tournament at the prestigious RACV Royal Pines Championship Golf Course, proudly supported by Liberty Specialty Markets.
- NIBA Tennis Tournament & Mini Chubb Club, a round-robin tournament with an Australian Open flavour, proudly supported by Chubb.
- Paint & Sip, an opportunity to relax and unleash your creativity in a fun and social setting.
These pre-Convention activities set the stage for the NIBA CGU Welcome Drinks later that evening.
Wellness Hub
Recognising the importance of holistic wellbeing, the 2025 NIBA Convention introduces a brand-new ‘Wellness Hubʼ. Here, delegates can take a break, recharge, and reconnect with their emotional and
physical wellbeing in between sessions. Expect a unique experience of petting puppies and baby
goats in a safe, welcoming space.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said the new features reflect a clear focus on enhancing the delegate
experience without losing sight of what makes the Convention so special.
“At its heart, the NIBA Convention is about connection, inspiration, and celebrating the role of brokers
in our community. This year, weʼve worked hard to ensure delegates experience the familiar spirit of
Convention alongside exciting new elements that make it truly unmissable,” said Richard.
The 2025 NIBA Convention will be held at the RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast from 19–21
October. With just 25 sleeps left, only limited spots remain. Donʼt miss your chance to be part of the
most anticipated event in the broking calendar
