NIBA Announces Alison Gemmell as the 2026 National Broker of the Year

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) announced the winner of the CGU-partnered 2026 National Broker of the Year award at the NIBA Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast on Tuesday, 20 October.
The 2026 National Broker of the Year was awarded to Alison Gemmell from Aon.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin congratulated Alison and the finalists.
"This year's finalists bring a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to professionalism. Thank you to our judging panel, and congratulations to Alison, as well as Brooke, Deb, Jodi and Shannan, for showing that our brokers are future-ready and our profession is in capable hands," Richard said.
The award recognises the depth of talent within the insurance broking profession, acknowledging a broker who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity and commitment to their clients. A winner is selected from each region (NSW/ACT, Qld, SA/NT, Vic/Tas and WA), and the regional winners compete for the National Broker of the Year title.
Richard thanked CGU for its continued partnership of the award.
