NIBA Announces Alyssa Sanfilippo as the 2026 National Young Broker of the Year
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) announced the winner of the Vero-partnered 2026 National Young Broker of the Year award at the NIBA Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast on Tuesday, 20 October.
The 2026 National Young Broker of the Year was awarded to Alyssa Sanfilippo from Lockton Companies Australia.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin congratulated Alyssa and all the finalists.
"This group combines strong client focus with a commitment to their communities and to their own ongoing development. Thank you to our award judges, and congratulations to Alyssa, as well as Laith, Isabella, Emily and Thomas. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for them," Richard said.
The award recognises the achievement and contribution of young brokers under the age of 35. A winner is selected from each region (NSW/ACT, Qld, SA/NT, Vic/Tas and WA), and the regional winners compete for the National Young Broker of the Year title.
Richard thanked award partner Vero for its long-term commitment to recognising emerging talent.
"I would like to thank Vero for a partnership with NIBA that has now continued for 37 years, recognising the brokers who will lead our profession in the years ahead," Richard said.
Anthony Pagano, Head of Distribution, Vero, said: "Young brokers are helping drive innovation and better outcomes for Australian businesses, and Alyssa is a standout example of that impact. Her initiative to identify emerging client needs and find new ways to strengthen protection reflects the initiative, insight and advocacy that great brokers bring to their clients every day. As a long-standing supporter of the Young Broker of the Year Award, Vero is proud to recognise Alyssa's achievement and congratulate her on being named the 2026 National Young Broker of the Year.”
The role of an insurance broker is to be a trusted partner, helping Australian families, communities and businesses manage risk and thrive. Through its awards program, NIBA recognises brokers who continue to lift standards of professionalism to ensure broking is future-ready.
