NIBA Announces Finalists for the 2025 Claims Broker of the Year

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2025
NIBA Claims Broker of the Year, proudly supported by Sedgwick.
This award celebrates the outstanding contributions of NIBA members working in claims. As
highlighted in the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice, brokers play a critical role in collaborating with
insurers and clients on claims handling and management. The award recognises those who have
consistently demonstrated excellence in this area of expertise.
The 2025 finalists are:

• Wendy Ford, Aon
Claims management is a key component through which the broking promise is fully realised. Effective claims management requires expertise, persistence, and advocacy, ensuring clients are supported through stressful times, receive fair outcomes, and can focus on getting back on their feet.
Whether it is going above and beyond for their clients, being seen as trusted partners who understand and anticipate their clientsʼ needs, or using innovation in claims modelling to support communities during severe weather events, our impressive finalists have employed their claims expertise not only to protect financial interests, but have also provided reassurance and confidence when it matters most.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin congratulated the finalists.“Claims is an integral area where the value of broking comes to life for clients. These finalists have shown outstanding skill, professionalism and care in guiding clients through the claims process, and we are proud to recognise their contributions,” Richard said.

The 2025 NIBA Claims Broker of the Year shall be announced at the upcoming NIBA Convention, taking place from 19-21 October at the RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast.
