Media Release

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is thrilled to announce the winner of the Vero-partnered 2026 NSW/ACT Young Broker of the Year award.

The award was announced as part of the 2026 NIBA NSW Gala Lunch, attended by almost 550 professionals at The Fullerton Hotel, Sydney, on Wednesday, 08 July.

The Vero-partnered 2026 NSW/ACT Young Broker of the Year was awarded to Laith Parissi from Aon. The Young Broker of the Year celebrates the outstanding contributions of brokers under the age of 35.

NIBA CEO Richard Klipin offered his congratulations to the NSW/ACT winner and acknowledged the finalists: “Laith’s win is a fantastic result, and on behalf of NIBA I wish him the very best as he takes on the national awards in October.”

“Every finalist this year has gone above and beyond for their clients, and made a genuine impact in their communities. NIBA recognises that effort,” Richard added.

NIBA President Nick Cook noted the importance of the award program: “Through our awards program, NIBA is proud to spotlight the depth of talent coming through the ranks in our profession.”

Mark Wilson, Veros State Distribution Manager for NSW/ACT said, “Laith’s passion for the industry and dedication to his clients stood out throughout the selection process. His commitment to professional development reflects strong leadership qualities, and we’re proud to back brokers like Laith who represent the very best of the profession."
