NIBA Announces the Winner of the 2026 QLD Broker of the Year Award
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is thrilled to reveal the Queensland winner of the CGU-partnered 2026 Broker of the Year award.
Alison Morrissey from Aon claimed the Qld Broker of the Year award at the 2026 NIBA Qld Gala Lunch on 15 July, at the Star in Brisbane, in the presence of 530 professionals.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin congratulated the winner and acknowledged the finalists: “Congratulations to Alison, and to every finalist who has shown a genuine commitment to professionalism and going the extra mile for their clients.”
NIBA President Nick Cook noted the importance of the awards program: “NIBA’s award program is an important platform to recognise the exceptional talent that is leading our profession towards being future ready.”
The 2026 Qld Broker of the Year Award, partnered by CGU, goes to a senior broker who is a role model for the broking community, demonstrating excellence in broking practice and client advocacy.
Madi Ward, Principal, CX Technology & Broker Platforms, CGU, said: "On behalf of the CGU team, congratulations to Alison on winning this year’s Qld Broker of the Year award. Her dedication to client advocacy sets a high standard for the profession, and we commend her on this achievement."
Alison will now go on to compete for the national Broker of the Year award. The national winner of the CGU-partnered Broker of the Year will be revealed at the 2026 NIBA Convention at the Gold Coast in October.
