NIBA Announces the Winner of the 2026 SA/NT Young Broker of the Year Award
The winner of Vero-partnered 2026 SA/NT Young Broker of the Year award was announced today by the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA).
The Vero-partnered 2026 SA/NT Young Broker of the Year award was awarded to Thomas Lawrie from Astute Insurance Services at a packed house at the Adelaide Oval, in the presence of over 400 professionals.
The Young Broker of the Year award recognises brokers under the age of 35 who are elevating the standards of the insurance broking profession.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin congratulated Thomas and acknowledged the finalists: “Itʼs a strong field of finalists this year, and Thomas should be proud to take that result through to the national awards in October.”
NIBA President Nick Cook noted the importance of the award program: “Through our awards program, NIBA is proud to spotlight the depth of talent coming through the ranks in our profession.”
Karen Thomas, Vero's Executive Manager, Commercial Insurance for SA/NT, said: "Thomas has shown a real focus on client advocacy and his own professional growth. Itʼs brokers like him who are the reason why Vero has proudly backed NIBAʼs Young Broker of the Year award for well over three decades."
Thomas will now go on to compete for the national Young Broker of the Year award. The national Vero-partnered Young Broker of the Year will be chosen from the five state winners and announced in October at the 2026 NIBA Convention.
