NIBA Launches 2026 Convention with ‘Future Readyʼ Theme
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is delighted to launch the 2026 NIBA Convention, inviting the insurance broking profession to come together under the ‘Future Readyʼ theme at RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast from 18–20 October.
As the flagship event for the insurance broking profession, the NIBA Convention brings together brokers, partners, regulators and industry leaders to connect, exchange insights and shape the future of the profession.
The 2026 theme, ‘future readyʼ reflects the environment in which brokers and the wider insurance sector now operate — one defined by rapid change, evolving risk, technological advancement and rising client expectations.
Across three days, the Convention will explore how brokers and the industry can anticipate what lies ahead, adapt with confidence and continue delivering value in an increasingly complex landscape.
2026 NIBA Convention Committee Chair Lynette Walsh noted the importance of the Convention as a flagship event that brings the profession under a single roof.
“The NIBA Convention continues to be an unmissable opportunity to connect, learn and be inspired. In 2026, we are building on that strong foundation with an experience designed to help delegates look ahead with confidence, embrace new ideas and prepare for the future of our profession,” Lynette said.
NIBA President Nick Cook said the Convention theme highlights the essential role brokers play in helping clients navigate an increasingly dynamic risk environment.
“Brokers are operating on the frontline of a rapidly shifting landscape, shaped by emerging risks, technological disruption and changing client needs. Being future ready is no longer optional, it is essential,” Nick said.

A fresh new look for the Fringe Stage
In line with the ‘future readyʼ theme, the Fringe Stage is set to receive a surprising makeover this year, creating an engaging and informal environment for delegates to experience presentations in a fresh and dynamic way.
This reimagined space will encourage conversation, curiosity and new ways of thinking as delegates engage with ideas shaping the future of the profession.
A dedicated night for emerging talent
A new feature of the 2026 program will be the Young Professionals Night on Monday evening, dedicated to those who will help shape the future of the broking profession.
The event will serve as a dedicated networking hub for emerging professionals attending the Convention, creating new opportunities to build relationships, exchange ideas and strengthen the next generation of broking talent.

Spotlight on the professionʼs best
The Convention will culminate on Tuesday night with the NIBA Awards Night and Gala Dinner, where the profession will come together to honour the best of the best from the broking profession and the wider insurance sector.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said the 2026 NIBA Convention will continue to deliver the unique mix of insight, connection and celebration that makes it the flagship event on the broking calendar.
“This year, ‘future readyʼ will come to life not only through the content and conversations on stage, but through every part of the delegate experience. We are excited to welcome the profession to the Gold Coast for what promises to be a standout Convention,” Richard said.
