NIBA Welcomes New ASIC Chair Sarah Court

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has welcomed the appointment of Sarah Court as the next Chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said the association looks forward to engaging with Ms Court on regulatory and policy priorities central to the insurance broking profession.

"Ms Court has a strong track record on consumer protection and market integrity, and her focus on fair and transparent outcomes for insurance customers aligns with the work brokers do every day," Mr Klipin said.

"NIBA shares ASIC's focus on ensuring consumers and small businesses can access insurance that meets their needs, understand their policies, and secure coverage that is affordable and appropriate to their circumstances. We look forward to working constructively with Ms Court to strengthen consumer outcomes," Mr Klipin said.

NIBA also acknowledges the contribution of Mr Longo, who will conclude his term as ASIC Chair on 31 May 2026.

"We thank Mr Longo for his engagement with the profession and wish him well in his future endeavours," Mr Klipin said.
