Nominations Open for the CGU-Partnered 2025 Broker of the Year Award
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is thrilled to announce that nominations have opened for the CGU-partnered 2025 Broker of the Year award.
Through its awards program, NIBA is proud to recognise brokers elevating the standards of professionalism. The Broker of the Year award celebrates the depth of talent within the insurance broking profession by spotlighting an exceptional senior broker who demonstrates a high-level of professionalism, integrity and devotion to their clients.
“The CGU-partnered Broker of the Year award gives us a chance to honour those who embody the values that drive our profession forward—values of excellence, integrity, and commitment,” said NIBA CEO Richard Klipin.
“By nominating a peer or putting yourself forward, you're not just celebrating achievement; you're shining a light on the incredible impact brokers have in shaping the future of Australians,” added Klipin.
Five state winners are selected from the regions of NSW/ACT, Qld, SA/NT, Vic/Tas and WA respectively, revealed at the 2025 NIBA Gala Lunches in July.
Damien Gallagher, Executive General Manager, CGU said, “CGU is proud to be a returning partner of the Broker of the Year award. Partnering with NIBA for this award demonstrates our ongoing commitment to rewarding broker ambition—celebrating professionals who are leading the way in shaping change within the industry.”
The five state winners will participate in the CGU On-Country Immersive Experience and Capability Building Workshop. This is an immersive three-day, two-night program, exclusively designed for an intimate cohort. The program aims to foster a deep understanding of Indigenous partner organisations in regional Australia through guided regional tours, exclusive insights, and a unique interactive experience with an exceptional Indigenous organisation.
The five state winners will go on to compete for the title of the national Broker of the Year, who will be announced at the 2025 NIBA Convention in October.
The national winner will be a beneficiary of a transformative professional development experience, attending a NYU Stern Business School four-day executive education course, including return premium economy flights and seven nights' accommodation in the autumn of 2026.
Short executive courses at NYU Stern are designed for ambitious business professionals and high- potential managers to retool, advance, and expand their skills and knowledge in an ever-changing world.
Nominations close 14 March. Nominate a deserving candidate or put your hand up to apply here today.
