Record Response Sets New Benchmark for 2026 NIBA Broker Market Survey

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is pleased to announce record participation in the 2026 NIBA Broker Market Survey, with more than 1,070 brokers sharing their insights.
The result marks another year of rising participation, reflecting how ready and eager the broking community is to help shape the future of the insurance sector.
Run independently by NielsenIQ, the survey captures practical, forward-looking insights into what brokers think of general insurers and the products they offer.
Feedback gathered through the survey will be pivotal in determining the 2026 NIBA Insurer Awards, such as the Large General Insurer of the Year, Specialty Insurer of the Year, and Underwriting Agency of the Year, which will be announced at the upcoming NIBA Convention from 18-20 October at the RACV Royal Pines at the Gold Coast.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said the record results demonstrate the strength of the profession: “Having more than 1,000 brokers in consecutive years take the time to share their views is a tremendous outcome,” Richard said.
“Numbers at this level tell us the broking community is active, engaged and genuinely invested in the direction of our profession. What brokers tell us allows us to set the benchmark for industry excellence and make sure their perspectives shape how we recognise the insurers setting the standard for client value,” Richard added.
Angela Carter, Director, Brand and Media, NielsenIQ, said the consistent growth in participation highlights the survey’s importance as a trusted source of industry insight.
“Year on year, the NIBA Broker Market Survey delivers independent, practical feedback straight from brokers, giving insurers and underwriting agencies a clearer picture of what the profession needs,” Angela said.
