About the Program
The annual NIBA Mentoring Program offers a powerful platform for insurance professionals to grow, connect, and lead with purpose. Through structured guidance and support, the program helps participants enhance their skills, navigate challenges, and unlock their full potential.
Open to brokers, insurers, and associated professionals, it brings together emerging talent and experienced mentors to foster growth, inspire new perspectives, and shape meaningful change—both personally and across the industry.
More than just a learning experience, the program empowers individuals to excel in their careers and contribute to a stronger, more dynamic future for the insurance profession.

Mentor
Can you make a difference in someone’s career?
The best mentors are those eager to learn—about themselves and their mentees.
Great mentors bring:
- Leadership: Enhances communication and leadership while offering personal fulfilment.
- Reflection: Revisit your career journey and stay connected to trends and culture.
- Giving Back: Share your knowledge and experience to support the next generation.
- Support: Provide guidance, encouragement, and a fresh perspective.
Mentee
Ready to take your career to the next level?
The most successful mentees are those who come ready to learn and fully engage with the mentoring journey, bringing these key qualities to the mentoring relationship:
- Openness: Approach mentoring with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Motivation: Stay focused, organised, and committed to your goals.
- Respect: Value your mentor’s time and expertise by listening and applying feedback.
- Self-Awareness: Take responsibility for your growth and be open to new perspectives.
