About the Award
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) annually celebrates excellence among brokers under 35 through the prestigious Young Broker of the Year Award.
This award was established in 1990 in honour of Warren Tickle, a former Insurance Commissioner instrumental in implementing the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act 1984. Proudly supported by NIBA’s long-term partner, Vero, the award reflects Tickle’s early career at Sun Alliance, now known as Vero.
NIBA recognises outstanding young brokers across five regions:
- New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory
- Queensland
- South Australia/Northern Territory
- Victoria/Tasmania
- Western Australia
Each regional winner progresses as a finalist for the national Young Broker of the Year title, with the ultimate winner announced at the NIBA Convention.
