Calling Future Leaders: Nominations Open for 2026 Young Broker of the Year Award

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is excited to share that nominations for the Vero-partnered 2026 Young Broker of the Year award are now open.
Through its awards program, NIBA is proud to recognise brokers lifting standards of professionalism across the sector. The Young Broker of the Year award celebrates future-ready leaders under 35 years of age.
A deserving winner is selected from each region, NSW/ACT, Qld, SA/NT, Vic/Tas, and WA, with those recipients then progressing to compete for the national Young Broker of the Year title.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin underscored the importance of this award and thanked Vero for their longstanding commitment in recognising emerging talent.
“NIBA is proud to celebrate the emerging leaders who represent the future of insurance broking. I would like to thank Vero for a long and successful partnership with NIBA spanning 37 years, unearthing the leaders of tomorrow,” Richard said.
The state winners will gain access to the Vero Young Broker Alumni experience, a three-day immersive leadership program focused on building leadership capability, confidence and resilience, while empowering participants to drive meaningful community impact. They will also further develop their skills through the Vero professional development series, a structured learning experience with industry experts.

The five state winners will go on to compete for the title of the national Young Broker of the Year, revealed at the 2026 NIBA Convention in October.
The national winner will receive a $10,000 learning and development experience, thanks to Vero, a standout prize designed to fast-track their professional growth and help take their leadership journey to the next level.
