NIBA Continues Expansion of Regional Presence with Launch of NT Sub-Committee

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is delighted to continue the expansion of its regional presence with the launch of a Northern Territory Sub-Committee, reinforcing its commitment to be present where its members are and to strengthen engagement across communities nationwide.
Following the launch of its ACT Sub-Committee last year, the formation of the NT Sub-Committee marks another important step in NIBAʼs broader mission to ensure members across Australia, including in regional and remote areas, have a strong voice, meaningful opportunities for connection, and access to industry-leading support and representation.
The new NT Sub-Committee brings together a dynamic group of local leaders who are deeply connected to the community and passionate about supporting the future of insurance broking in the region.
NIBA President Nick Cook welcomed the NT Sub-Committee, saying it reflects the associationʼs commitment to support members wherever they live and work.
“At NIBA, we are committed to being present where our members are. The launch of the NT Sub-Committee is an important step in ensuring brokers in the region feel connected, represented and supported as part of our national broking community,” Nick said.
NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said the new sub-committee would help strengthen local engagement while ensuring the unique perspectives of NT brokers continue to shape the national conversation.
“The establishment of the NT Sub-Committee reflects NIBAʼs ongoing commitment to create stronger local connections, listening to the needs of brokers on the ground, and ensuring members in the Northern Territory have opportunities to engage, contribute and thrive,” Richard said.
NT Sub-Committee Chair Tom Harvie said this is an exciting opportunity for brokers in the Territory to connect and advocate for issues that impact them.
“The Northern Territory has a unique operating environment, and it is important that brokers here have a strong local voice within the broader national conversation,” Tom said.
“The Sub-Committee will bring Territory brokers together, strengthen engagement, and ensure their voice is heard loud and clear through NIBAʼs advocacy efforts for the profession.”
