Joshua Boyd is an experienced insurance and risk management professional, currently serving as Regional Account Director – Southern at PSC Insurance Brokers. With over 15 years in the industry, he has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service to complex and evolving organisations across Australia. Joshua specialises in designing and implementing tailored insurance solutions that align closely with each client’s strategic objectives, ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes across the entire service lifecycle.

Taylor Burstow is a Director and Broker Manager at McLardy McShane Brisbane, with over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry across both corporate and commercial broking environments. His career has been built on progressing through roles focused on client advisory, relationship management, and leadership within general insurance, working closely with a wide range of commercial and corporate clients across Australia.

 He has developed a strong reputation for building long-term partnerships with clients and insurers, and for guiding businesses through complex risk and insurance decisions. Over the course of his career, he has progressed into senior leadership roles with responsibility for team development, portfolio performance, and strategic growth within his organisation.

 He is the current Queensland Chair of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), contributing to industry leadership, education, and the ongoing development of professional standards across the broking profession.

Taylor is the 2023 NIBA Young Broker of the Year and the 2026 Insurance Business Young Achiever of the Year, recognising his contribution to the insurance industry and his commitment to leadership and professional excellence.

 Outside of work, Taylor is a father of twins and enjoys golf, supporting Manchester United, and travelling with his wife and children.

Prudence Chang is the Joint Managing Director – Australia at National Credit Insurance (NCI), one of the leading trade credit insurance brokers in the Asia-Pacific region. Appointed to the role in 2025 alongside her co-leader, she brings deep industry expertise, strong client focus and a long-standing track record of leadership within the business.

Prudence joined NCI in 2006 and has built her career within the organisation, progressing through a range of senior roles across sales and business development. Starting as a Sales Executive, she has held multiple positions until her most recent appointment. A passionate leader, Prudence is also known for her focus on mentoring and developing talent. Nick joined Steadfast 10 years ago, and in his role as the Executive General Manager for Australasian Networks, Broker & Insurer Services at Steadfast, he oversees the strategic direction, operational excellence, and growth initiatives for the Steadfast broker networks across the Asia-Pacific region.

With a career spanning over three decades in the insurance and financial services industry, Nick brings a wealth of experience in managing complex networks, enhancing carrier relationships, and delivering exceptional service to brokers.

Nick is also President of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), representing brokers' interests at the highest level of industry & government.

Nick was previously at Zurich where he was responsible for the performance of Zurich products & propositions in the marketplace.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys an occasional round of golf, which helps him maintain a balanced and well-rounded perspective both professionally and personally.

Emma Curtis is the Lead Ombudsman – Insurance at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). In this role, she is responsible for leading AFCA’s insurance decision-making function and supporting fair, independent and effective outcomes for consumers and small businesses.

Emma leads a team of around 50 insurance decision makers across general insurance, life insurance and insurance broking. Her work focuses on the resolution of complex insurance disputes, identification of systemic issues, and engagement with insurers, consumers, regulators and other stakeholders on emerging risks and industry practices. She plays a key role in maintaining confidence in AFCA’s independence, impartiality and decision-making quality.

Emma’s career spans more than 25 years across financial services law and governance, complaint resolution and regulatory practice, including over a decade as a senior regulator. Prior to joining AFCA, Emma was a Senior Executive Leader at ASIC, where she led the insurance supervision team. In that role, she guided ASIC’s work through the Financial Services Royal Commission, the 2019 bushfires and the challenges of the COVID‑19 pandemic.

Before her regulatory roles, Emma held senior in-house legal positions within Australian financial services firms, giving her a strong understanding of industry operations and commercial drivers alongside consumer and regulatory considerations.

Emma is passionate about clear and practical decision-making, respectful and grounded engagement with stakeholders, and ensuring complaint resolution is fair, consistent and accessible. She values professionalism, independence and evidence‑based reasoning, and is committed to supporting strong, inclusive teams that reflect the communities AFCA serves.

Justin was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Zurich Australia and New Zealand in July 2021, following his role as CEO, Life and Investments at Zurich Australia.

With more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, Justin joined Zurich from TAL, where he was Chief Operating Officer, with commercial and operational accountability for its core business lines.

Prior to this, Justin held senior roles at Macquarie Group, where he played a key role in building the Macquarie Life Insurance business and its go-to-market strategy.

Justin leads Zurich at a time of significant growth, following major acquisitions that have positioned the business as a leading player in the Australian retail life insurance market.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University, along with Graduate Diplomas in Management and Financial Planning, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Scott is Joint Managing Director of Rivers Insurance Brokers and has worked across both the Australian and London insurance markets.

Since joining Rivers in 2016, he has helped drive the growth of the Queensland family-owned brokerage while remaining focused on its core purpose: ensuring clients never feel alone.

He is passionate about people, leadership and helping Queensland businesses and individuals manage risk with confidence.

Simone is the CEO of Insurtech Australia, a national not-for-profit organisation with a vision to create a world leading insurtech ecosystem which aims to foster a diverse community of insurance innovation and collaboration across the Australian insurance industry. An experienced leader in the insurance industry, Simone has held senior executive roles in both Australia and the UK and also has management consulting experience. Her previous role was that of Chief Operating Officer for Munich Re in Australasia. Additionally, she was Non-Executive Director of ANZIIF between 2018 and 2024.

Andrew joined the Insurance Council of Australia in September 2020 as CEO and Executive Director following a career spanning the media, political, retail and banking sectors.

He was previously Executive General Manager Corporate Affairs for the Commonwealth Bank, where he was responsible for the management of CBA’s public affairs and sustainability.

He was previously Director of Corporate and Public Affairs for Woolworths Limited for six years, overseeing a similar portfolio and participating as a member of the Management Board.

Andrew’s professional career started as a journalist in regional New South Wales in 1994, before moving to Canberra in 1996 where he worked in federal politics for 10 years in ministerial advisory roles and as Federal Director of the Nationals for six years.

He has extensive experience in governance, both in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. He currently serves on the board of Rural Aid, Australia’s largest rural charity. He has previously served as a founding Board member of Pancreatic Cancer Australia, the only foundation dedicated to pancreatic research, and on Equality Australia, which was the organisation created to lead the successful marriage equality campaign in 2017.

In 2024 he was awarded the Insurance Leader of the Year by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

Leta Hamblin is Head of Trades at Marsh Pty Ltd, leading the Trades Service Team in the Affinity Auto Trades & Transport segment from Melbourne. With more than 22 years’ experience across broking, operations and digital transformation, Leta combines deep technical knowledge of trades and construction insurance with proven experience in business transformation, digitisation and financial stewardship. She has led service teams through process optimizations, coached and developed broker talent, and delivered strategic partnerships and client‑focused solutions that drive growth and operational efficiency.

As moderator for the ADVISE workshop “From Transactional to Transformational: Building Future‑Ready Brokers,” Leta will steer practical discussion on what it means to be “Future Ready”: shifting from commodity placement to risk‑management partnership, and leveraging engineering, risk profiling and outsourced expertise where needed. She will highlight how the traditional foundations of broking; trust, market knowledge and negotiation skill, remain indispensable, but must be scaled by technical rigor and collaborative networks so brokers can deliver measurable risk reduction and strategic value for clients.

Alexandra joined the Insurance Council of Australia in January 2023 in the role of General Manager, Regulatory Policy, and moved into the role of General Manager, Regulatory and Consumer Policy in August 2023. Prior to that, Alexandra held the role of Director, Policy and Advocacy at the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman.

Alexandra is responsible for developing and implementing the ICA’s regulatory and consumer policy agenda including liaising with sector regulators ASIC and APRA, dispute resolution body AFCA, the General Insurance Code Governance Committee, and working with stakeholders through the Business Advisory Council, and the Consumer Advisory Council, to solve problems related to insurance for consumers and businesses.

Alexandra has worked in advocacy bodies, the federal government, federal politics, and the university sector, focusing on policy and advice to deliver better outcomes for consumers, small business owners, and communities. She holds a BA (Hons) and a Juris Doctor from the Australian National University

Noel Kelly is a distinguished leader in the Australian insurance industry, serving as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of AEI Insurance Group. With over 18 years of deep sector expertise, Noel has established a strong reputation for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a forward-thinking approach to insurance broking.

A committed advocate for professional development, Noel served as Chair of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Young Professionals Committee, where he played a pivotal role in shaping initiatives designed to elevate and empower the next generation of industry talent.

Richard Klipin is an experienced CEO and financial services leader, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA). He has led strategic transformation and growth across peak industry bodies, banks, and insurance organisations in both Australia and New Zealand.

Richard brings a strong track record in community building, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. Meg Long is the Chief Executive Officer of McLardy McShane Partners, the licence-holding arm of the McLardy McShane Group that oversees a nationwide authorised representative insurance network across Australia; turning over nearly $1B in Gross Premium.

With 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Long has held senior roles across both national and international brokerages, developing expertise in broking, underwriting, sales, relationship management, strategy, and operations.

She joined McLardy McShane in July 2014, initially overseeing the group’s Australian Financial Services (AFS) licensing entity and later serving as Group General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. Over the past decade she has played a key role in shaping the company’s growth and operational strategy.

In 2025, Long was appointed CEO of McLardy McShane Partners as part of a leadership restructure that saw the group’s founders transition into executive board roles and the organisation position itself for further national expansion. In this role, she leads the company’s authorised representative network of more than 190 Corporate Authorised Representatives operating across Australia.

Recognised for her leadership and influence in the insurance sector, Long has been named numerous times among the Elite Women Asia Pacific by Insurance Business for her contributions to the industry and her impact on organisational growth.

Emma Loynes is Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa at Lloyd’s, the specialist insurance and reinsurance marketplace. Emma is also Chief Executive Officer and Director of Lloyd’s in Singapore, as well as a director of Lloyd’s companies in Dubai, China and Japan.

Based in Singapore, Emma is responsible for leading Lloyd’s people, operations, strategy and culture across the region as well as driving growth through the commercial strategy. Emma’s remit also includes building strong and effective relationships with governments, regulatory authorities, and industry bodies. Through this engagement, she works to enhance access and trading rights for Lloyd’s as well as elevate the organisation’s visibility and impact across the region’s dynamic insurance landscape.

With more than 30 years of experience spanning Claims, Portfolio Management, Risk and Regulatory, Operations, and Transformation, Emma brings deep industry expertise. Before joining Lloyd’s, she held several senior leadership roles at RSA Insurance, including Commercial Operations Director and Head of Commercial Schemes.

Emma is a passionate champion of talent development. She is actively involved in coaching and mentoring through various professional organisations, including Advance, Lloyd’s flagship programme for future female leaders.

She also contributes to the wider industry through her roles as an Executive Committee Member of the Singapore Reinsurers Association, a Board Member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, and Co-Chair of the British Chamber’s Women in Business Committee.

Tim Mathieson joined Steadfast Group in 2015 and has over 25 year’s industry experience, most recently as CEO of QIB Group, one of the largest insurance broking groups in Australasia.

He was previously Head of Broker Network at Steadfast and prior to this held several leadership roles with QBE Insurance which he joined as a graduate in 1998.

He holds an MBA, Master of Insurance and Risk Management, and Bachelor of Commerce. He is an ANZIIF Fellow, AICD Graduate and director of more than 10 companies, including the Steadfast Foundation.

Kirsten Mills leads the strategy and operations for Marsh Pacific’s Affinity business. Affinity comprises of bespoke industry solutions for large professional organisations, each with unique risk and insurance requirements. She is also a member of the Marsh Pacific Executive Committee and a leader on the Women at Marsh CRG.

Kirsten is an accomplished executive with a wealth of experience with 24 years in the insurance and sports industry. Commencing her career in Sports Management and moving into sports insurance, her strong leadership skills, and experience in insurance and client management roles, have seen her work across all sectors of the insurance sphere from Underwriting in the London market to leading the largest dedicated Sports team in Australia working with brands such as Cricket Australia, the Australian Football League and major events. This journey has enabled her to inspire her teams and deliver exceptional results. She is dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity, empowering her colleagues to reach their full potential and contribute to Marsh’s success.

Throughout her career, Kirsten has amassed a wealth of experience in various leadership roles within the insurance industry. Kirsten joined Marsh in 2019 as part of the Jardine Lloyd Thomson (JLT) acquisition, where she assumed the role of National Sport Manager and Head of Affinity for Australia, before moving into her current Pacific-focused role in 2023. Prior to joining Marsh, she was with JLT since 2002, working in account management and business development until she became General Manager of the Sport and Entertainment division in 2018.

Gary is a prominent figure in the Australian insurance and risk advisory sectors with vast experience in alternative risk financing, insurance broking and risk management for Public Sector entities.

Marcus joined Lockton in September 2025 as Chief Executive Officer of Lockton Pacific.

With over 36 years of experience in the insurance industry, Marcus is a seasoned executive who has held a wide variety of leadership roles throughout his career.

Prior to joining Lockton, Marcus was the Chief Commercial Officer at Marsh McLennan Companies (MMC) Pacific and was previously CEO of Marsh New Zealand and led their Pacific Specialty business.

Marcus is a passionate, engaging and accomplished leader who has built and maintains incredibly strong relationships with his clients, markets, and colleagues. 

Dianne Phelan is a well-known figure in the insurance industry, with a career spanning over 45 years. With an extensive background in insurance broking, she has dedicated 37 years to mastering the intricacies of the field. Currently serving as the COO at BJS Insurance Group, Dianne has spent the last 21 years contributing her expertise and leadership to the organisation.

Before joining BJS Insurance Group, Dianne held the position of Managing Director at Morris Lloyd Insurance Brokers. Over the course of 15 years, she provided exceptional broking services to numerous South Australian businesses, establishing herself as a trusted advisor within the local community.

Dianne's commitment to her profession extends beyond her individual achievements. She has made ongoing contributions to the insurance industry at large, exemplified by her two-year tenure as the President of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA). Brett is a respected leader in the insurance industry, bringing over 35 years of technical expertise in underwriting, broking, and risk advisory. Before joining Willis Temby, he held senior leadership roles at major insurers, including HIH, NZI, and CGU, where he developed a strong technical foundation in complex risk assessment, policy structuring, and strategic insurance placement.

Since his appointment as Executive Director of Willis Temby in 2000, Brett has played a key role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction, strengthening industry partnerships, and ensuring technical excellence in client solutions. His ability to navigate complex risks, structure tailored insurance programs, and provide expert advocacy has earned him widespread recognition, including being named the 2017 NIBA Stephen Ball Broker of the Year.

Katrina is a Chartered Accountant with a career spanning audit, Newton Fund Management (London) and Westpac Trust. She also ran a small accounting practice for seven years and was Financial Controller for the New Zealand National Party.

Across two terms as a Member of Parliament, she chaired Select Committees and served on the Commerce Select Committee during major reforms to New Zealand’s financial services legislation.

She has led membership organisations through regulatory change, raised public awareness, and established a learning academy.

Katrina was the inaugural CEO of Financial Advice NZ for five years following the merger of three industry bodies. She positioned it as the sector’s voice, helped shape major legislative and regulatory change, strengthened professional development, and built a research program demonstrating the value of advice.

As CEO of ANZIIF, Katrina is positioning the institute as the premier education provider for insurance professionals by lifting industry standards through delivery of high-quality, education and professional development to ensure insurance professionals have the competency, knowledge and skills to obtain best outcomes for their clients.

Mark Silveira is the General Manager – Industry Engagement at ANZIIF.

Mark Silveira is a widely respected business relationship and growth leader whose career spans more than three decades across financial services, not‑for‑profits, and the commercial sector. Known for his ability to build trust, galvanise teams, and accelerate organisational performance, Mark has shaped some of the industry’s most recognisable brands during pivotal moments in their evolution.

Emily-Rose Srbinovska is an award-winning insurance broker recognised for her client-first approach and deep industry expertise. Named the NIBA 2024 National Young Broker of the Year, she brings nearly two decades of experience across global insurers and insurance broking.

Emily-Rose has joined Macey Insurance Brokers as the Canberra branch manager bringing her deep local expertise and continues to operate in the market she knows well, where she is known for her commitment to community engagement, innovation, and delivering exceptional client outcomes. She is a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker (QPIB) and holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking).

Shaun Standfield is the Managing Director of Insurance Advisernet. A senior insurance executive with expertise gained from working for large insurance companies in Australia and across Asia, Shaun leads a large brokerage with operations in over 275 locations across Australia and New Zealand; the company places more than $2B Billion of invoiced premium.

The strength of Insurance Advisernet is also derived from their being a partner with ASX-listed AUB Group, who empower and support the team 100% in executing their strategic plans. 

Shaun has an active interest in the not-for-profit sector, having chaired the QBE Foundation in Australia & Asia and a long association with KidsXpress and in recent years with the Insurance Advisernet Foundation.

James Still is the Founder and Principal Broker of Still Insured Pty Ltd, an award-winning regional brokerage servicing clients across Australia. Since taking over the family business in 2024, James has grown the firm into a thriving commercial-focused brokerage with a strong reputation in transport, property, liability and hard-to-place risks.

Passionate about innovation, James is leading the development of AI-powered brokerage systems designed to help brokers work smarter, improve client outcomes and build scalable businesses. His vision is simple: enable brokers to run a modern brokerage from a laptop and a phone while maintaining the personal relationships that make broking valuable.

James was recognised as the 2025 NIBA and Vero Vic/Tas Young Broker of the Year and National Young Broker of the Year. Graeme was previously an insurance broker and joined BIBA in 2001. He was appointed BIBA CEO in July 2023 after having been the association’s Executive Director for ten years with a seat on the main board. He had responsibility for the policy team that incorporated corporate affairs, technical services and communications. He created BIBA’s public affairs department and the annual BIBA Manifesto and has provided written and oral evidence to the Houses of Commons and Lords.  

 Graeme’s knowledge of insurance and the sector is wide-ranging, and he appears regularly as a source of expertise in the media where he promotes the benefits of using an insurance broker. He sits on the main board of the Employers’ Liability Tracing Office and the World Federation of Insurance Brokers World Council and its CSE (Chief Executive) Committee. 

 He has also been part of Government groups at HM Treasury, the Department for Transport, the Department for Environment, Flood & Rural Affairs, the Cabinet Office, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the Ministry of Defence and the Dept for Levelling Up Housing and Communities (now named Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government). 

Graeme is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.  

Angela is a seasoned insurance professional with over 20 years of extensive industry experience. As a trusted advisor, Angela has cultivated deep expertise in serving clients across diverse sectors including construction, higher education and corporate. Her proficiency extends to managing complex accounts, where her insights and strategic guidance have consistently delivered value.

Lynette has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance broking industry. Her broking experience is diverse across multiple industries spanning both Ireland and Australia. Lynette is QLD State Director at Aon.

A strategic and creative thinker, who is highly analytical, technical and data proficient, Lynette is a key member of the Aon leadership team to ensure delivery upon client, colleague and commercial expectations.

Lynette is a NIBA Board Director (National Insurance Brokers Association) and has a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters in Strategy.

With a career spanning over 20 years in the insurance profession, Rebecca gained extensive experience managing insurance programs for large commercial clients transforming the business to achieve year-on-year growth.

Rebecca focuses on cultivating a thriving workplace environment that encourages people to excel, collaborate and feel supported. As the 2010 recipient of the WTMA Insurance Young Professional of the Year Nationally and NSW, Rebecca’s gone from strength to strength as she was appointed NIBA board’s NSW Director and NSW divisional committee’s Vice Chair.

Rebecca has spent over 10 years volunteering for the The Reach Foundation and is currently a member of the NSW subcommittee to the board alongside having raised over $400k for multiple charities.

Mitch Wight is Head of Broking and Distribution at Aviso Integral Insurance Services, bringing over a decade of experience in the Australian general insurance market. He is known for his client first approach, strong insurer relationships, and ability to deliver strategic renewal outcomes across complex portfolios.

In 2021 Mitch was named National NIBA Young Broker of the Year, recognising his contribution to the industry. He is passionate about mentoring emerging professionals and sharing insights on building trusted client relationships, navigating the insurance market, and creating meaningful value for clients.
