Creating future leaders - are you our next Young Broker of the Year?
Recognising exceptional young brokers under the age of 35, some of our past winners of the Young Broker of the Year Award have gone on to scale the highest peaks. Could you be next?
The Young Broker of the Year Award has opened exciting opportunities and avenues for our past winners, and many of the accomplished alumni have gone on to scale even greater professional peaks in their careers since winning the award.
Proudly supported by Vero, the award specifically recognises exceptional young brokers under 35 who are well on their way to becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
Creating leaders of tomorrow
This is a golden opportunity if you want to invest in your professional development as a young broker. The national winner receives a tailored learning experience valued at $10,000. A shining example of how this award program creates future leaders is the 2019 Young Broker of the Award winner, Caitlin Carson. Ms Carson was recently appointed as the financial and professional lines (finpro) corporate leader for Marsh Pacific.
Ms Carson is just one example of how winning the award has transformed the career pathways of our Young Broker of the Year winners. And it’s not just the national winner that gets to take their professional development to the next level.
Invest in your professional development through a curated program
The five state winners will participate in a curated professional development program as well as the Vero Young Brokers Alumni Experience, where they get to put their skills into practice, supporting a local community that’s been affected by a major weather event.
Luke Chrzanowski, the 2015 Young Broker of the Year winner, shares why winning the award was life changing.
"The world of insurance opens this whole other realm for you," said Mr Chrzanowski.
"Being able to have the chance to go to Munich Re and learn skills in reinsurance was not something I had ever imagined I would be able to do, particularly as a young broker.
"I just never imagined that before age 30, I'd be going over to do reinsurance at Munich Re for a few days. That was an amazing opportunity."
This year, we’ve made the application process even more straightforward. You don’t have to wait for a colleague to nominate you. If you’re a young broker under the age of 35 who strives for excellence, you can self-nominate. As always, colleagues can also nominate their peers. So, what are you waiting for? Don’t miss out on this life-changing opportunity.
Visit the NIBA Awards page for the full eligibility criteria and apply or nominate an outstanding young broker before it’s too late.
