New award announced to recognise claims brokers, while community excellence also at the forefront
Entries are open for two NIBA 2023 Awards that recognise the impact brokers have on clients and the community – both of which truly reflect NIBA’s dedication to broker excellence and impact.
The inaugural NIBA Claims Broker of the Year Award, sponsored by Sedgwick, recognises those claims specialists who consistently demonstrate outstanding claims performance.
Meanwhile, the NIBA Community Excellence Award, sponsored by Liberty Specialty Markets, acknowledges the ongoing commitment brokers have to helping their clients and local communities.
NIBA 2023 Claims Broker of the Year Award
Claims time is often crunch time for clients – and the experience you deliver can make all of the difference during times of great stress. The claims specialist who will be named the 2023 NIBA Claims Broker of the Year Award winner will showcase excellence in claims and exemplify the highest standards of professionalism.

NIBA 2023 Community Excellence Award
From helping clients and communities come back from floods and natural disasters to supporting important local events, brokers play an incredibly important role in their communities and for their clients – something celebrated and recognised by NIBA’s 2023 Community Excellence Award.
This award acknowledges the ongoing commitment of brokers in helping their clients and local community to make a difference.
What’s on offer for the winners?
The winner of the Community Excellence Award will receive a donation of $1,000 to their charity of choice. The winners of both – Claims Broker of the Year and Community Excellence awards will also receive all-inclusive ticket to the 2023 NIBA Convention, return economy domestic flights from their home state and three nights’ accommodation.
