We are pleased to share the exciting news that our president, Gary Okely, and the NIBA board have appointed Mr Richard Klipin as the new Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA).
Richard brings extensive leadership experience in the financial services industry, having previously served as the CEO of the Financial Services Council of New Zealand and the Association of Financial Advisers. His strong track record in building industry relationships, driving growth, and advocating for members positions him perfectly to lead NIBA into the future.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing CEO, Philip Kewin, for his invaluable contributions to NIBA and its members. Philip's dedication has been instrumental in numerous initiatives, including launching the 2022 Insurance Brokers Code of Practice, updating the NIBA Constitution, reigniting the NIBA Convention, and most recently, launching the Insure Your Future initiative to promote insurance broking as a career.
Richard will officially join NIBA on May 27th, 2024. In the interim, Philip Kewin will continue to serve as CEO remotely until Richard assumes his role.
