Mark Saunderson

NIBA is proud to welcome the new Board representative from Gallagher, Mark Saunderson. Mark replaces Adam Squire, who will be stepping down from the NIBA Board after more than three years of service.

Mark is the Head of Metro Branches and part of the Australian Executive Team at Gallagher. With over two decades of experience in management roles, his leadership has been instrumental in delivering significant improvements in employee engagement, client retention and new business. As a member of the Executive Team, he is involved in and contributes to all aspects of running the Australian organisation.

But that’s not all. Mark has worn many different hats in his illustrious professional career. Prior to joining Gallagher, Mark had a successful stint in the pharmaceutical industry. He also has a background in competitive sports, being a former professional athlete who has played baseball for the New York Yankees.

NIBA President Gary Okely welcomed Mark and expressed his thanks for joining the Board as the incoming Gallagher representative.

Gary also thanked Adam for his incredible contribution to NIBA and the broader broking profession during his time on the Board. Adam’s background and extensive experience in claims gave him a unique perspective that enabled practical, broker and client centric solutions to the many challenges that emerged over the past few years.

Adam led from the front in championing the inaugural NIBA Claims Broker of the Year Award. Kicking off last year, the award shines a spotlight on brokers who demonstrate excellence in claims management, going above and beyond for their clients come claim time.

Adam has decided to take some well-deserved time off with his family and NIBA wishes him the best of luck for his future endeavours.
