Vero has won the Gold Mansfield prize in claims excellence for the fifth straight year at an awards ceremony held over the weekend.
The Mansfield Awards are held annually to recognise claims excellence in the Australian insurance industry. The awards are named after the British Lord Chief Justice who introduced the industry to the principle of utmost good faith some 250 years ago and emphasise the vital role that claims professionals play in the insurance industry, celebrating those achieving excellence in this field.
In the personal lines category, Suncorp came out on top. FM and Zurich were awarded joint winners of the corporate property and casualty category. The specialty category also had joint winners with NTI and PassportCard Australia.
The winners from individual categories compete for the overall Gold Mansfield Award. Vero entered in the running for the overall recognition after winning the SME property and casualty category.
LMI Group founder Allan Manning highlighted that the judging this year involved 468 claims ratings for 240 insurer brands.
Next year, the categories are set to expand – three more award categories which include service provider, broker claims team, and loss adjusting will be added to the mix.
The Mansfield Awards are supported by Steadfast Claims Solutions and icare.
